Mokulito: Lithography on Wood

Mokulito is a combination of the words “Moku” (Japanese for wood) and “Lito” for the lithographic process. Applying the same principals of the traditional stone-based lithography, in Mokulito, plywood is used as plates for printmaking.

This workshop will take place over two sessions. In the first session we will talk about the Mokulito process and then participants will draw their individual images and prepare their plates. The plates will need to cure over the week. The second session will be devoted to printing.
