Biography
Rod Bouc is an artist who paints using pigment sticks, draws with charcoal and pastel, and does monotypes. He has an Masters Fine Arts degree from The Ohio State University and a Bachelors in Fine Arts, in Education degree from the University of Nebraska. Mr. Bouc has also been an arts administrator in varius capacities for over 43 years. Fifteen years ago he became the Deputy Executive Director of Operations at the Columbus Museum of Art. Several years ago he needed to make art with fresh eyes and decided to take a monotype workshop at Phoenix Rising Printmaking Cooperative.
He was later asked to join the board, he enthusiastically accepted. He said, “I could see that it was an organization I wanted to support and help spread the word of this wonderful place. Phoenix is one of those gems of the city that makes Columbus a wonderful place to live. He was immediately impressed by the nurturing environment and professionalism of the Phoenix members”.
