Christine Cushman, JD, LLM

Ms Cushman is a former practicing attorney who provides technical expertise and education to advisors and plan sponsors as it relates to retirement plans. In her eight years in private legal practice, she counseled numerous nonprofit organizations on tax and governance issues. She also taught a Masters course at Drexel University entitled “Law in the Arts” and has lectured on retirement plan and nonprofit topics.

She has also volunteered for several years as a tax return preparer for low income individuals through the IRS’s Volunteer Income Tax Assistance program and has provided pro bono legal assistance to numerous non profit organizations, including Phoenix Rising in the organization’s successful application for federal tax exempt status as a 501(c)(3) organization.
