Visible Ink: Group Exhibition
Opening Reception: Friday, January 10, 2020
from 6:00 to 8:00 PM
Location: Ohio State University Faculty Club, 181 S Oval Dr, on the Campus of Ohio State University
Relief, intaglio, monotype or screen print, all of the printmaking processes require one common element to translate the image from the printing surface to paper – ink. Viscous, opaque or transparent, these qualities of ink contribute to the visual dynamics of a print. The experienced printmaker can influence the attributes of the ink by adding solvents, bases or extenders. As with ink, each cooperative member has their own unique style. They make visible interpretations of their creative visions using traditional methods of printmaking. This exhibition of prints by Core and Associate members will be on display January 6 through February 21, 2020.
