Havana Adventure II
In March, two of our members had a wonderful adventure in Havana, Cuba! Phoenix Rising Printmaking Cooperative president @petersmadre Karen Albanese Campbell and longtime core member @cdepiroabbott Christine D’Epiro Abbott were invited to collaborate with the team of master printers at the storied @yamilysbritojorge Taller Experimental de la Graphica and also to work with internationally renowned Cuban artist @abelbarroso Abel Barroso!

The trip was made possible with the support and expertise of Michael Reese of ArtWay Inc, Jose Rodriguez from the City of Columbus @columbusgov and the funding support from @paulhenribourguignon.
In addition to our members, there were 13 other artists on this trip: @charstegernorman @meryle_art @lashaejboyd @malvarstewart @joansbridal @hollibell3 @gavinbenjamin and Helen Hoffelt, David Greismyer. Carrie Byers from WOSU also came along! @wosupubmedia @broadandhigh. Definitely an incredible life-changing experience! We look forward to seeing the new work inspired by this opportunity to visit Cuba! Stay tuned!
