Harris Solo Exhibition at Emergent Gallery
Check out the solo exhibition of core member, Susanna Harris (@susannaharriscreates) at Emergent Art Gallery this Saturday during the August Short North Gallery Hop! This print series actually glows! Congrats Susanna! The exhibition continues through August 2022.
Susanna has an MFA from Kent State University in printmaking. Her haunting prints have been exhibited around the country.
Her prints are heavily embossed, glowing pieces that are 3 dimensional and move slightly with any breeze. They create the impression that each is lit with a hidden spotlight but it’s actually the reflections of the nearly fluorescent colors she paints on the backs of the papers she uses. Her work has a mournful beauty and as you read the titles, you’ll go to places you aren’t expecting. You really have to see them! Gallery-owner Sarah Invancic will give you a warm welcome!
