“I like to believe that artwork, not unlike humans, has a personality; characteristics that we, the audience, observe and decide who the work is. And in many ways, the characteristics and emotions we see in the work live within the artist. Therefore, viewing an artist’s work is taking a look at who the artist is, what they are feeling, and how he or she views the world.

My technique as a printmaker involves strategic placement of color and expressive line work meticulously planned before each project to successfully communicate an underlying theme. Subject matter in my work is derived from still life observation, a life experience, or in some cases, completely from imagination. Underlying themes I like to play with include indulgence, diligence, mortality, and celebration.”
