Amanda Farler is a printmaker and artist living in Columbus OH. She is a member of the Phoenix Rising Print Coop (a nonprofit cooperative of prinmakers). She shows regularly with other Phoenix Rising members and on her own. Amanda’s work is primarly printmaking as well as mixed media and drawing. She employs intaglio and relief techniques in her prints and in her mixed media work she employs ink, watercolor, embroidery, acrylics, collage and other techniques.
Her work often focuses on feminst isssues and experiences. Such as: body image and representation, considerations of beauty, historical feminity, social expectations of feminity, fat stigma,the experience of womanhood and motherhood, also cats.
