DIY Silkscreen: How to Make Screenprints at Home (1CEU/PDU)

Learn how to make a screen-print from start to finish using readily accessible materials*! This course will take you through the steps of how to prepare your art, expose a screen using photo emulsion, and how to set up your print station at home.

*Readily accessible materials refers to items and household supplies that can be purchased at local Columbus stores.

This course will be TWO 5 hour sessions, each student will learn how to print a multi-layer small poster/fine art print. (8 x 10). This two-day workshop, is designed to earn 1 (one) Continuing Education Unit (CEU), or as they are now called PDU.

This course is best suited for intermediate and advanced artists with some experience in drawing and design. Printmaking experience is great but not required. This course is designed for teachers, but is welcome and open to all!

 

Session One: Saturday, July 19 from 10:00 AM – 3:00 PM
Session Two: Saturday, July 26 from 10:00 AM – 3:00 PM
