Born and raised in Hardin County, Ohio, both Ridgemont graduate, Marilyn (Turner) McPheron and Hardin Northern graduate, Judith Steele, were destined to become artists.  Encouraged and guided by their high school art teachers and nurtured by their families, both earned degrees in the Arts.  McPheron is a graduate of Penn State University and Steele received a BFA from the Columbus College of Art and Design. Their paths in life led them from Hardin County and onto new experiences that allowed them to grow artistically.

After moving to Columbus, McPheron and Steele met and discovered their shared love for printmaking and their mutual Hardin County roots. Both artists are members of the Phoenix Rising Printmaking Cooperative in Columbus, Ohio.  Now these professional artists are returning home to their rural roots with an exhibit of intaglio prints, relief prints, and artist books and to share their creative perspectives.
